WashUp uses the names your team already uses, but a few words mean something specific inside the app. These are the ones worth knowing.
Your site
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Wash bay or area | Any part of your site you track separately—a tunnel, an in-bay, a vacuum area, the equipment room. Everything else hangs off it. See Create wash bays and areas |
| Equipment | One piece of gear in a bay: a top brush, a dryer, a pay station, a reclaim tank |
| Archived equipment | Equipment taken out of day-to-day views without deleting it. See Archive and unarchive equipment |
Inspections and issues
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Attention Item | A problem someone flagged, tracked until it's fixed. See Intro to Attention Items |
| Pass, Needs Attention, Critical | The Green, Yellow, and Red ratings on an inspection item. See Inspection ratings explained |
| Run | One time through an inspection, start to save. See Inspection run history |
| Status and Progress | Two separate fields. Status is how bad it is, Progress is how far along the work is. See Attention Item statuses explained |
Tasks and services
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Routine task list | A list that repeats on a schedule—taking out the trash every Tuesday night. See Routine vs situational task lists |
| Situational task list | A list someone activates when it's needed, like shoveling the driveway after a snowstorm |
| Task Aging | Whether unfinished tasks carry over. See Task Aging Enabled vs Disabled |
| Past Due and Missed | Past Due still needs doing. Missed closed out unfinished because the list doesn't age |
| Admin only | A setting that keeps a task or a service off the floor. See Task completion requirements and admin only |
People and access
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Super Admin, Admin, Team Member | The three roles. See Types of roles in WashUp |
| Account Owner | The one Super Admin the account belongs to. They can't be deleted or have their role changed |
| Location Login | A shared sign-in for a tablet at the counter, where your team picks their name and enters a 4-digit PIN. See Location Login on a shared tablet |
| Pending Setup | An invited person who hasn't finished creating their account yet |
