Sign the tablet in once as the location. After that, whoever walks up picks their name and enters their 4-digit PIN—no email, no password—and every inspection, task and claim is still recorded under their name.
What you'll need
- Only Super Admins and Admins can set or change a location's password.
- Everyone using the tablet needs to be assigned to that location and to have a 4-digit PIN on their own account.
Set the location password
Super Admins and Admins only.
To turn on Location Login:
- Select Settings > Locations, then the location.
- Select the Security tab.
- Note the Username (Location ID)—that's the permanent username, and it can't be changed.
- Enter New Password and Confirm New Password.
- Select Set & Enable Location Login.
To change it later, the same card asks for Current Password first, then Update Location Password.
Sign the tablet in
To sign in as the location:
- On the sign-in page, select SIGN IN AS LOCATION.
- Enter the Location ID as the username.
- Enter the location password and select Sign in as location.
The tablet now sits on that location's Dashboard, waiting for a name.
Work under your own name
To take the tablet:
- Select your name from Select User in the top bar.
- Enter your 4-digit PIN.
Your name and photo replace the picker. Run the trench inspection, close out the vacuum-area checklist, log a damage claim—it all lands under you. Select Sign out when you're done to hand the tablet back.
Good to know- You only appear under Select User once you're assigned to the location and have set a PIN in Settings > Security. No PIN, no name in the list.
- The location switcher is hidden while someone is signed in by PIN, so the tablet stays on one location.
- Everyone who uses the tablet shares the location password, so keep it to a work-designated tablet or computer rather than a personal phone.
Common questions
Can I use my own login on the tablet instead?
Yes. Select Sign in as user instead on the location sign-in page and enter your email and password.
Why is my name missing from the list?
You need a PIN. Set one under Settings, then Security, and you'll appear once you're assigned to the location.
Who can do this?
Anyone assigned to the location can sign in by PIN. Setting the location's shared password is for Admins and Super Admins.
