Intro to Attention Items

Intro to Attention Items

Every issue your team flags lands in All Attention Items and stays there until someone fixes it. It's your open punch list.

September 28, 2026

Finishing an inspection doesn't fix anything. Everything your team marks Red or Yellow, plus everything reported through Report an Issue, becomes an Attention Item and stays open until somebody resolves it.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections.
  • Anyone at the location can view, work, and resolve Attention Items.

What is an Attention Item?

An Attention Item is one problem on one piece of equipment. Think of it as a work ticket: the dryer on Tunnel 1 is making a grinding noise, here's the photo, here's who reported it, and here's what's been done about it since.

They arrive in two ways. An inspector marks an item Red or Yellow during a run, or somebody uses Report an Issue without running an inspection at all.

What you can do with Attention Items

  • See every open issue across all your wash bays on one screen, sorted worst-first.
  • Set who's on it, how urgent it is, and how far along the work has got.
  • Keep the whole conversation about an issue in one place, with photos and files.
  • Email an issue to a vendor, or print it for a work order.
  • Look back at what was fixed, when, and by whom.

Where to find them

Select Inspections in the side menu. That lands you on All Attention Items, which is the full open list. The left menu shows a running count next to it, so you can see at a glance how many issues are outstanding.

Select any item to open its detail page, which has a Details tab and a Timeline & Activity tab.

The three things you set on an item

Each item tracks three separate things, and they don't affect each other.

FieldOptionsWho can change it
StatusCritical, Needs AttentionAdmins and Super Admins
ProgressOpen, In Progress, On HoldAnyone
PriorityUrgent, High, Normal, LowAnyone

Status is how bad the problem is. Progress is how far the work has got. Priority is what you've decided to do about it, and it starts blank.

Common questions

Can I undo resolving an item?

No. Resolving is final, so a problem that returns gets reported as a new issue.

Who can do this?

Anyone at the location can view items, change Progress and Priority, add notes, and resolve. Assigning and changing the Status are for Admins and Super Admins.

Does this affect my other locations?

No. Attention Items belong to the location they were reported at, and the count in the left menu covers that location only.
