Report an issue

Report an issue

Flag a broken or dirty piece of equipment on the spot, without running a full inspection. It lands in All Attention Items.

September 28, 2026

Somebody notices the vacuum on stall 4 has no suction. They don't need to run a whole inspection to say so. Report an Issue flags one piece of equipment right away.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections.
  • Anyone at the location can report an issue.

Report an issue

To report an issue:

  1. Select Inspections in the side menu.
  2. Select Report an Issue in the upper-right corner.
  3. Pick the bay under Choose Bay, then the equipment under Choose Item.
  4. Select Needs Attention or Critical under Status.
  5. Describe the problem under Add Notes.
  6. Drag a photo or video onto Attachments, or select the box to browse.
  7. Select Report Issue.

WashUp takes you to All Attention Items so you can see the issue you just logged.

Choose Item stays greyed out until you've picked a bay, because the item list comes from that bay's equipment.

What happens next

The issue becomes an Attention Item with the status you chose. It sits in All Attention Items with its progress set to Open until someone works it and marks it resolved. Anyone on your team can pick it up, add notes, and resolve it. Only Admins and Super Admins can assign it to a person or change its status.

Anyone at the location with the Report an Issue notification switched on gets an email or a push about it. That's a separate switch from the ones for items flagged during an inspection run.

Good to know
  • Choose Bay, Choose Item, Status, and Add Notes are all required. Attachments are optional.
  • The dropzone accepts JPEG, PNG, PDF, and MP4. Photos above 10 MB are rejected after they upload, even though the hint says 50MB, so shrink a large photo before you attach it.
  • A reported issue is separate from an inspection run. It won't show up in the bay's run history.

Common questions

Can I undo this?

No. A reported issue stays on the list until somebody resolves it, so resolve it with a note rather than trying to remove it.

Who can do this?

Anyone at the location. You don't need to be an Admin to report an issue.

Can I change the status after I've reported it?

Only Admins and Super Admins can switch an item between Needs Attention and Critical. Anyone can change its Progress and Priority.
