Catch issues before your customer does. Inspections are the condition checks your team runs on real equipment, with a rating on every item.
Catch issues before your customer does. An inspection is a list of things to check on a wash bay's equipment, and every item gets a Red, Yellow, or Green rating.
What you'll need
- Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections.
- Your equipment set up in My Wash. Inspections pull their items from the bay's equipment list.
What is Inspections?
Inspections is the walkthrough your best manager does on a good day, written down so anyone on shift can do it the same way. You build a list once—the items to check, what "good" looks like for each, and a reference photo—and your team runs it as often as you want.
Each run is timed and recorded, so you can see who checked what, when, and what they found.
What you can do with Inspections
- Build a separate inspection list for each wash bay or area, pulling items straight from My Wash.
- Rate every item Red, Yellow, or Green, with a note and photos on anything that isn't right.
- Collect readings instead of colors on items where a number is the real answer, like PSI or water temperature.
- Track every issue your team finds in one place until someone resolves it.
- Pull up the full history of a run, or export it, whenever you need proof of what was checked.
How Inspections works
Three ratings, and they mean the same thing everywhere in WashUp.

The flow is: inspect, record what you found, address the issues, then verify and resolve them.
Finishing an inspection means the check is done. It does not mean the problems are fixed. Every item marked Red or Yellow becomes an Attention Item, which stays open in All Attention Items until someone resolves it.
Where to find it
Select Inspections in the side menu. The left menu lists All Attention Items with a count badge, then All Inspections with one entry per wash bay. Choose a bay to see its inspection lists.
On a narrow screen that left menu collapses into a dropdown at the top of the page.

Common questions
Can I change an inspection after I've built it?
Yes. Admins and Super Admins can rename it, add or remove items, and reorder them at any time.
Will my team get notified?
Only when something is flagged. Marking an item Red or Yellow sends a notification to whoever has that alert switched on.
Does this affect my other locations?
No. Inspections are built per wash bay at one location, so each site needs its own.
