Build an inspection

Create an inspection list for one wash bay and fill it with the items your team should check—say a morning walkthrough of Tunnel 1 covering the top brush, the wrap brushes, the dryer, and the pre-soak arch.

What you'll need

• Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections.
• Only Admins and Super Admins can build or edit an inspection.
• A wash bay with equipment in My Wash.

Create the inspection

To create an inspection:

1. Select Inspections in the side menu.
2. Choose the wash bay under All Inspections.
3. Select + New Inspection.

   If you don't see it, open the ... menu beside the wash bay dropdown.

4. Enter a name under Inspection Name, such as Tunnel 1 Morning Walk.
5. Select Create.

WashUp opens the new inspection.

Add items to the inspection

To add items:

1. Select Edit List, then Add Inspection Item.
2. On the My Wash Equipment tab, tick each piece of equipment, or use Select All.
3. Select Add Selected Items.
4. For something that isn't equipment, open the Custom Item tab, enter a Custom Item Name, and select Create Custom Item.
5. Type what the inspector should look for in each item's criteria box.
6. Drag items by the handle into the order your team walks the bay.
7. Select Save Changes.

Nothing saves until you select Save Changes; Cancel discards the whole editing session. A custom item is a question rather than a piece of equipment, such as "Did the vehicle come out dry?"

Rename, reorder, or delete inspections

Select the gear button on the bay's inspections page. Edit Inspections lets you rename, drag to reorder, and remove. A removal needs Yes, Remove to confirm, and applies when you select Save Changes.
