Start an inspection, rate each item Red, Yellow, or Green, add notes and photos on anything wrong, then save the run.
Rate each item on the list—Red (Critical), Yellow (Needs Attention), or Green (Passed)—write down what you found, and save. Anyone on your team can run an inspection.
What you'll need
- Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections.
- Anyone at the location can run an inspection. You don't need to be an Admin.
Start and save a run
To run an inspection:
- Select Inspections in the side menu, then the wash bay.
- Choose the inspection you're running.
- Select Start Inspection.
- For each item, select Red, Yellow, or Green, or type the reading if it asks for a number.
- On anything marked Red or Yellow, select Add Note, describe what you found, and use Add Photo/Video if it helps.
- Select Save Inspection.
A bar appears across the top as soon as you start, showing the inspection name, Progress, and a running timer. Save Inspection stays greyed out until you've marked at least one item.
Notes are required on new problems
Mark an item Red or Yellow when it wasn't already flagged and WashUp asks for a note before it will save. Try without one and you get Notes Required Before Saving, listing what you missed. The only way past it is Add Required Notes.
Notes and attachments are held as you go, but the run isn't recorded until you select Save Inspection.
Cancel a run
Select Cancel to abandon the run. It's discarded, nothing you marked is kept, and it never appears in the inspection's history.
- The timer starts the moment you select Start Inspection, so the duration reflects how long the walkthrough took.
- Everything you mark Red or Yellow becomes an Attention Item and stays open until someone resolves it. Saving the run doesn't close it.
- Marking a previously flagged item Green asks you to resolve the open issue rather than silently clearing it.
Common questions
Can I undo this?
No. A saved run can't be edited or removed. Run the inspection again if something was recorded wrongly.
Who can do this?
Anyone at the location. Running an inspection isn't limited to Admins.
Will my team get notified?
Only about problems. Each item you newly mark Red or Yellow notifies whoever has that alert switched on; a clean run notifies nobody.
