WashUp templates live on the website, not inside the app. Onboarding loads the ones you want, or you can enter one yourself.
The WashUp templates—the trench inspection, the basic closing checklist, the wraps and brushes walkthrough—are pages on the WashUp website. There's no template picker inside the app, so either we load one for you or you enter it once yourself.
Ask WashUp to set one up
To have a template loaded:
- Open the Template Library and note the ones you want.
- Email contact@washup.solutions with the template names and your location.
- Say whether each one should be an inspection or a task list, and which wash bay or area it belongs to.
Onboarding is free and covers your own paperwork too. Hand over the closing checklist taped inside the equipment room door and it comes back as a list your team can work from.
Enter it yourself as a task list
To build a task list from a template:
- Open Tasks, then Task Lists.
- Select Create New List and pick routine or situational.
- Select Import a list.
- Select Download Template and type one task per row.
- Select Import CSV and upload the file.
The list appears in your Task Lists straight away.
Inspections are built in the app
Inspections have no CSV import. Create the inspection on the wash bay it covers, then add each criterion—top brush condition, trench clear, soap level—with Edit List. See Build an inspection.
Use the template as a checklist
Every template on the Template Library downloads as a PDF. Keep it open beside you and work down it while you build the inspection, so nothing gets missed in the retyping.
- Download Template inside WashUp hands you an empty CSV with the right column headings. It isn't one of the checklists from the website.
- A task list CSV takes up to 500 rows and 5 MB, and the only column you have to fill in is the task name.
- Only Admins and Super Admins can create lists and inspections, so ask one of them if the buttons aren't there for you.
Common questions
Can I download a template as a file and import it?
No. You can download the template as a PDF, but there's no way to import an inspection from a file. Use the PDF as your checklist while you build the inspection, or ask us to load it.
Can I change a template after it's loaded?
Yes. Once it's in your account it's an ordinary inspection or task list, so edit it like any other.
Does this affect my other locations?
No. An inspection belongs to one wash bay and a task list belongs to one location, so ask for each site you want it on.
