Services

Create a service

Build a recurring maintenance schedule for one piece of equipment in four steps—equipment, frequency, instructions, review.

Set up the maintenance once and WashUp schedules every occurrence after that. A service covers one piece of equipment—the top brush, one dryer, the reclaim tank—so build one per item.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Services.
  • Admins and Super Admins can create a service. Team Members can't.
  • The equipment already added in My Wash.

Pick the equipment and set the schedule

To start a new service:

  1. Select Service in the side menu, then New Service.
  2. Choose the Wash Bay / Area, then the Equipment / Item inside it.
  3. Enter a Service Title of 2 to 255 characters, then select Continue.
  4. On Service Details, choose Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
  5. Set Repeat every and the days or dates the work lands on.
  6. Set Reminder to how many days before the due date you want to hear about it, then select Continue.

Add the instructions and create it

To finish the service:

  1. Write the Service Instructions. Continue stays greyed out until this has text.
  2. Drag files onto the Attachments box, or select it to browse for the manual or a diagram.
  3. Under Completion Requirements, tick Require photo submission, Require completion notes, or Only allow Super Admins and Admins to view and complete this service.
  4. Select Continue.
  5. Check Review Service Details, then select Create Service.

WashUp builds the dated occurrences from your schedule and the service appears in your list.

Good to know
  • The Equipment / Item list only offers items in the bay you picked. With nothing there, the wizard tells you to add equipment in My Wash first.
  • The reminder drives the Upcoming status, so a 7-day reminder flags the job a week before it's due.
  • Finish the steps in one go. Leaving the wizard partway through means starting over, because a half-finished service can't be picked back up.

Common questions

Can I change it later?

Yes. The name, instructions, frequency, and assignee can all be edited after the service exists.

Who can do this?

Only Admins and Super Admins can create a service. Anyone at the location can complete one.

Will my team get notified?

Yes, when the reminder window opens and the service turns Upcoming. Whoever has that alert switched on hears about it.
