Complete a service

Complete a service

Select Mark as Complete, set the date the work was actually done, add your notes and photos, then confirm the next due date.

September 28, 2026

Marking a service complete is what turns a schedule into a maintenance record. Set the date the work actually happened, not the date you got around to logging it.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Services.
  • Anyone at the location can complete a service, unless it's set to Admins and Super Admins only.
  • Whatever the service asks for—a photo, completion notes, or both.

Mark a service complete

To complete a service:

  1. Open the service from your services list.
  2. Select Mark as Complete.
  3. Under When was this service completed?, keep today or pick the day the work was done.
  4. Write your Completion Notes—what you found, what you changed, what to watch.
  5. Select the attachments box and add before and after photos or a document.
  6. Select Mark as Complete.

Status goes to Completed, Progress goes to Closed, and your name and the date land on the service.

Confirm the next due date

For a recurring service, Confirm Next Service Date opens straight after. It shows the completion date, the frequency, and the date WashUp worked out for the next one.

  • Confirm accepts that date.
  • Reschedule Next Occurrence opens the next job so you can move it.
Good to know
  • A red asterisk on Completion Notes or Attachments means the service requires it. Without it, the completion is turned down.
  • You can back-date a completion, but not forward-date one. A date after today is rejected.
  • Completed services can't be edited, rescheduled, or reopened. They move to See Completion History on the services list.

Common questions

Can I undo this?

No. A completed service can't be edited, rescheduled, or reopened. Contact support if one was completed by mistake.

Who can do this?

Anyone at the location, unless the service is set to Admins and Super Admins only.

Will my team get notified?

Yes, whoever has the service alert switched on. The completion also lands on the equipment's History in My Wash.
