Intro to Services

Intro to Services

Minimize downtime with preventative maintenance. Breakdowns are expensive—and preventable.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Services.
  • Anyone at the location can view services, complete them, and add notes. Creating, editing, rescheduling, and deleting are for Admins and Super Admins.
  • Your equipment set up in My Wash.

What is Services?

Services is the maintenance schedule for every piece of equipment on your site. It's the oil-change sticker on the windshield—except it covers the top brush, the dryers, the high-pressure pump, and the reclaim tank all at once, and the whole crew can see it.

You describe the work once: which item, how often, what to do, and what proof you want back. WashUp puts the dated jobs on the calendar from there. No more grease intervals living in one manager's head or on a whiteboard in the back room.

What you can do with Services

  • Schedule recurring maintenance on any item in My Wash—set it once, and WashUp creates every future occurrence.
  • Choose how many days ahead your team gets the reminder.
  • Write the instructions, and attach the manual or a diagram so nobody guesses.
  • Require a photo or completion notes before the work can be signed off.
  • Assign the job to the right person and flag the ones that jump the queue.
  • See what's been serviced, when it was done, who did it, and what's coming up next.

How Services works

Schedule it once → WashUp creates the occurrences → Your team completes one → The next one appears

A service has two layers. The schedule holds the name, the equipment, the frequency, the instructions, and the completion requirements. Each occurrence is one dated job built from that schedule—the thing your team opens and completes.

Example: you grease the top brush bearings every 2 weeks. You build that schedule once. WashUp puts a dated job on the list every other week, warns you when one is coming due, turns it Red when it slips, and keeps the finished ones in your completion history.

Change the schedule and the coming occurrences move with it. Completed ones stay exactly as they were recorded.

Where to find it

Select Service in the side menu to open your services list. The toolbar has a search box, See Completion History to switch to what's already been done, Hide Details to tighten the rows, and Filters for status, progress, priority, wash bay, and who it's assigned to. The toggle beside Filters swaps the list for a calendar.

With nothing set up yet, the page reads No services added yet with a few Pro Tips.

Common questions

Can I schedule a service for something that isn't in My Wash?

No. A service is attached to one piece of equipment in one wash bay, so add the item in My Wash first.

Who can do this?

Only Admins and Super Admins create, edit, and delete services. Anyone at the location can complete one and add notes.

Does this affect my other locations?

No. Services belong to the equipment they're attached to, so each location keeps its own.
