Add the bays and areas that make up your site, then rename, reorder, or remove them from one drawer.
A bay or area is a place at your site: Tunnel 1, the self-serve bays, the vacuum lot, the back room. Equipment lives inside one, so these come first.
What you'll need
- Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections or Services.
- Only Admins and Super Admins can create or edit bays.
Add your first bays
With nothing set up yet, My Wash shows No wash bays or areas added yet and three ways to start.
To create your first bay:
- Select My Wash in the side menu.
- Select Create blank.
- Type the name into the new row.
- Select Save Changes.
Duplicate a location copies a bay from another site you run, equipment and all. Upload CSV names a bay and then takes you straight to the spreadsheet import.
Add, rename, reorder, or remove later
Everything after the first bay happens in one drawer.
To manage your bays:
- Select Edit Wash Bays/Areas at the top of My Wash.
- Select Add Wash Bay/Area, then Create Blank or Duplicate from Location.
- To rename a bay, select the pencil on its row, type the new name, and select the tick.
- Drag a row by its handle, or use the arrows, to reorder.
- To remove a bay, select the bin on its row and confirm.
- Select Save Changes.
Nothing is applied until you select Save Changes, so every rename, move, and removal goes in together. Cancel throws the lot away.
The order you set here is the order your team sees everywhere, so it's worth matching the way people actually walk the site.
- Two bays at one location can't share a name. Save is blocked with Two bays cannot share the same name until you fix it.
- A new row needs a name before the drawer will save, but an existing bay can be renamed to blank without complaint.
- Deleting a bay cannot be undone. It permanently removes every piece of equipment in it, their full service history, and all their connections. Only delete a bay created by mistake.
Common questions
Can I change it later?
Yes. Renaming and reordering happen in the same drawer at any time, and neither affects the equipment inside.
Who can do this?
Only Admins and Super Admins. Everyone else can see bays but not change them.
Can I move equipment between bays?
Yes. Open the item, select Edit Equipment, and change its Wash Bay / Area.
