WashUp is an operations app for car washes, built by people who’ve spent years working in them. It’s where your crew handles everything that happens inside the wash: the morning walkthrough, the opening and closing lists, the maintenance on the pumps and brushes, the damage claim at the exit. It doesn’t replace your POS. It makes sure the wash your POS sells actually gets delivered.
Great car washes don’t stay great by accident. We built WashUp because we lived the problems it solves, and we wanted one place where a wash runs the same on Tuesday morning as it does on a busy Saturday, whoever’s on shift.
WashUp for car washes is an operations and management app built by car washers. Inspections, preventative maintenance, daily checklists, damage claims, the schedule and team chat live in one app on the phones and tablets your crew already carries. The point is simple: every shift and every location delivers the same wash, and problems get caught before a customer catches them.
Car washers built WashUp because the tools most washes run on were never built for a wash. Ask around and the setup looks the same almost everywhere: a clipboard on the wall for the opening list, a whiteboard in the backroom for maintenance, a group text for everything else, and a folder of damage claims nobody wants to open. It all works until the one person who keeps it in their head takes a day off.
Our team spent years in different roles across the industry, and we went through those problems ourselves. The generic apps we tried could be bent to fit a wash, but they didn’t speak car wash. They didn’t know what a correlator is, or why the tire shine applicator gets checked before the first car. So we built the tool we wished we’d had.
WashUp fits your wash because it starts with your wash, not a template. In My Wash you lay out your site bay by bay and list the equipment in the order a car meets it, from the presoak arch to the dryers, using the names your crew already uses. If everyone calls it the tire shiner, so does WashUp.
Everything else hangs off that map. When someone inspects the tire shine applicator in the tunnel, WashUp knows exactly which piece of equipment that is, and every inspection, service, photo and issue lands on its history. Over a year, that history is how you spot the part that keeps failing.
That’s also why crews actually use it. Nobody has to learn a new way to think about their job, just a new place to track it, on the phone in their pocket. There are setup examples for every format: Tunnel, In-Bay Automatic, Self-Serve and Pet Wash.
A day with WashUp looks like a normal day at the wash, with fewer surprises. The crew works today’s list, runs the inspections that are due, and flags anything broken the moment they see it.
Take a Saturday at an express tunnel. The opener signs in on the shared tablet by the pay station with a 4-digit PIN (Location Login) and works the Opening list. At 7:20 the morning inspection rates the tire shine applicator Red, with a photo and a note. The site manager is still at home. She gets the alert on her phone, assigns it to the maintenance tech and marks it Urgent before the first car reaches the conveyor. Nobody had to call anybody.
The Dashboard is the first screen everyone sees, and it counts what’s still open today in Red and Yellow. One look tells you where to spend the next hour.
WashUp includes seven features with one purpose: keeping your wash running the way you set it up. Each one takes over a job most washes already do on paper or in a group text.
Admins also get Insights, a reporting dashboard for spotting trends over weeks and months, like which inspection items fail most and how fast claims get closed (Intro to Insights).
WashUp is used by every kind of car wash operator: express tunnels, flex and full-service, in-bay automatics, self-serves and pet washes. Single-site owner-operators use it so the wash runs the same when they’re not on the lot. Multi-site operators use it to make their newest site run like their best one.
Inside a wash, everybody has a part. Owners and district managers watch the alerts and the trends. Site managers build the inspections and publish the schedule. Shift leads and the crew work the lists and report what they find. One single-site tunnel manager described life before WashUp in five words: “Small things were slipping through” (WashUp homepage).
Getting started with WashUp takes days, not months, and we do most of the work. Onboarding is free: we bring over the checklists and inspections you already use, whether they’re on a clipboard or in a spreadsheet, and help you build your wash in My Wash (Ask us to load a template). Most operators run their first inspections within a week.
You’re not handed a login and left alone. Our team are car wash people, and you can reach them by text, phone, email or video call (Get help from WashUp). The free template library has opening and closing checklists and equipment inspections if you’d rather start from ours.
WashUp fits beside the systems you already have. Your POS sells the wash and runs your memberships; WashUp makes sure the wash that comes out the other end is the one you promised, every shift and every site. It doesn’t take payments or run payroll, and it isn’t trying to. If your current setup already does all of this and your crew likes it, we’re probably not the right fit. If it lives on clipboards and group texts, it’s worth a look. Pricing is per location with unlimited users, and the first 14 days are free (WashUp pricing).

WashUp was built by a team that spent years working in different roles across the car wash industry. They designed it around problems they hit firsthand: shifts that ran the wash differently, maintenance that got missed, damage claims on paper, and owners who couldn’t see the site without calling it. That’s the idea behind the tagline Built For Car Washers By Car Washers.
No. WashUp works alongside your POS and membership system. Your POS sells the wash and handles members; WashUp covers what happens inside the wash, from inspections and preventative maintenance to opening and closing lists, damage claims, the schedule and team chat. The goal is that the wash your POS sells is the wash your customer actually gets.
That’s what it was built for. WashUp uses your bays, your equipment and the names your crew already uses, so nobody learns a new way to think about the job. It runs on the phones and tablets they already carry, a shared tablet can sign each person in with a 4-digit PIN, and daily lists show up on their own.
Days, not months. Onboarding is free, and the WashUp team brings over the checklists and inspections you already use, from paper or a spreadsheet, and helps you lay out your wash in My Wash. Most operators run their first inspections within a week, with help available by text, phone, email or video call.
