Contact UsKeep conversations where the work happens. Chat gives every location its own conversation, plus group chats, direct messages, and calls.
Keep conversations where the work happens. Chat is built into WashUp, so the person you need is the same person already assigned to the location, and nobody has to keep a separate app open.
It's the group text thread your crew already has, except it knows who works where. When someone joins a location, they join that location's conversation. When they move on, they come out of it. Nobody maintains a list.
| Kind | Who's in it | Who creates it |
|---|---|---|
| Location chat | Everyone assigned to that location | Created for you, automatically |
| Group chat | Whoever you add | Anyone |
| Direct message | You and one other person | Anyone |
| Call | Whoever joins from the chat | Anyone, from any chat |
Chat lives in the header, not the side menu. Select the speech-bubble icon in the top bar. A red count sits on it when you have unread messages, and it refreshes on its own every few seconds.
The icon is there for everyone. If Chat isn't part of a location's plan, selecting it opens a page about Chat with a Contact Sales to Add Chat button rather than a conversation.
Inside, the left panel groups your conversations under Location Chats, Group Chats and Direct Messages, with Starred at the top for the ones you pin. Search chats... filters the list by name.

Service Partners don't get Chat at all. The icon is hidden for them, and they aren't members of a customer's conversations.
No. Membership follows your location assignments, so people are added and removed for you.
Everyone. Chat has no admin-only controls, so any role can message, start a group, and call.
No. Location chats are per location, so you get one for each site you're assigned to. Group chats and direct messages aren't tied to a location at all.
