Contact UsIf selecting the chat icon shows a sales page, Chat isn't switched on for the location you're in. Service Partners don't get Chat at all.
Chat is the speech-bubble icon in the top bar, not an entry in the side menu. The icon is there for everyone, so the usual problem isn't a missing icon but what happens when you select it.
You land on a page describing Chat with a Contact Sales to Add Chat button. That means Chat isn't part of this location's plan.
Chat is switched on per location, so you can have it at one site and not another. Use the location picker to switch to a different location. If Chat opens there, the first location doesn't have it.
To add it, select Contact Sales to Add Chat and fill in the form.
Chat isn't limited by role. Super Admins, Admins and Team Members all get it, and all of them can send messages, start group chats and direct messages, and make calls.
If a colleague has Chat at a location and you don't, you're probably not assigned to the same locations. Check Settings, then Assigned Locations.
Service Partner admins and technicians don't get Chat, including while working inside a customer's account through Log In As. The icon isn't shown to you and you aren't a member of any of that customer's conversations. No setting changes this.
Use email or phone to reach the customer instead.
Your session still holds the locations you had when you signed in. Sign out and back in, and the new location and its chat appear.
Chat sits behind an internal switch as well as the per-location feature. It's on by default, but an administrator can turn it off for the whole company. If nobody at your company can reach Chat and the plan hasn't changed, contact support.
