Each location runs on its own equipment, lists and schedule. Roles and billing are company-wide. Knowing which is which saves you rebuilding work.
Your company holds your locations. Each one is its own wash in WashUp, with its own bays, inspections, task lists, services and schedule. A few things sit above all of them.
What you'll need
- More than one location on your account. WashUp creates locations for you—ask us to add a site.
- You only see the locations you're assigned to. Check yours under Settings > Assigned Locations.
What is a location?
Think of your company as the keyring and each location as a door. The keyring holds who your people are and what they're allowed to do. Everything behind a door—the pumps, the checklists, this week's roster—belongs to that wash alone.
That split is deliberate. A closing checklist written for a tunnel shouldn't appear at a self-serve site three towns over, but the manager who wrote it should still be the same manager at both.

Two of these catch people out. Changing someone's role changes it everywhere, not just at the site you're standing in. And the week start day looks like a personal preference but moves the calendar for everyone in the company.
Move between your sites
The location picker sits at the top of the page. Select it, pick the wash, and every module reloads against that site.
Modules are switched on per location, so Inspections at one site and not another is normal. See I can't see a module in the menu.
Put your team where they work
A person can be assigned to as many locations as you like, and their role is the same at each. Assign them from either end, under Settings > Locations or Settings > Users and Roles. See Assign or remove users from locations.
Someone who isn't assigned to a site can't select it in the picker, won't appear in its schedule, and won't be in its location chat.
Don't rebuild what you've already built
Opening a second bay of the same kind, or a second site, doesn't mean retyping everything. Equipment copies between bays and locations, and a task list copies to as many sites as you want in one go.

Common questions
Does changing someone's role affect every location?
Yes. A role is company-wide, so making someone an Admin makes them an Admin at every site they're assigned to.
Can a location have its own plan?
No. Billing is company-wide, though which modules are switched on is decided per location.
Why can't my manager see our new site?
They aren't assigned to it. Add them under Settings > Locations, then the location's Assigned Users tab.
