Your PIN isn't a second password for the website. It's how you pick your name on a shared tablet at the wash, so choose something you'll remember on a wet morning.
An invitation is good for 30 days. After that the link shows This invitation has expired and asks you to contact your WashUp administrator for a new invitation.

This invitation link isn't valid means something other than age. The usual causes are a link that got cut in half by an email client, or an invitation that was cancelled after it was sent.
Copy the whole link from the email rather than selecting it, and if that fails ask for a fresh invitation.

Check junk first, then ask whoever added you to resend it. They can also copy a link straight to you.
