Notifications

Manage email and push notifications

Every notification starts on, for email and push, at every location you're assigned to. Turn them off per notification, per location.

September 28, 2026

Every notification WashUp sends starts switched on, for both email and push, at every location you're assigned to. If your inbox is loud, this is the page that quiets it—each notification is set separately, per location.

What you'll need

  • Nothing. Everyone can set their own notifications. These are your settings only, not your team's.

Change what you get

To turn a notification on or off:

  1. Select your name in the lower-left corner, then Settings.

If you don't see it, open the side menu first.

  2. Select Notifications.
  3. Find the row you want and select its Email or Push button. The button shows how many locations it's on for.
  4. In Select Locations, tick the locations you want it for and clear the rest.
  5. Select Save Changes to close the box.
  6. Select Save Preferences at the bottom of the page.

Nothing takes effect until you select Save Preferences—the page says so at the top.

What you can be notified about

SectionRows you can switch
GeneralAssignments
InspectionsReport an Issue, Critical Items, Needs Attention Items, Resolved Items
ServicesPast Due Services, Upcoming Services, Day-of Services, Completed Services
TasksCompleted Task Lists, New One-Time Tasks, Daily Recap
IncidentsUnder Review, In Progress, Resolved/Denied
ScheduledSchedule Published, and either Team Member Requests or Admin Decisions
ChatChat Push Notifications

Under Scheduled, Admins and Super Admins see Team Member Requests for requests coming in. Team Members see Admin Decisions for approvals and denials going out.

Chat notifications work differently

The Chat switch at the bottom covers your whole company rather than one location, and saves the moment you flick it. It isn't part of Save Preferences, so there's nothing to confirm and no way to back out by leaving the page.

To quiet one conversation instead of all of them, mute it from inside Chat. See Mute a chat or change chat notifications.

Good to know
  • Everything is on by default. A new location you're assigned to arrives with all of its notifications switched on.
  • Daily Recap is email only, so it has no Push button.
  • A few messages always send. You'll be told when an admin overrides your availability to schedule you, and that one can't be turned off.

Common questions

Can I change it later?

Yes, as often as you like. Remember to select Save Preferences at the bottom, except for the Chat switch, which saves on its own.

Does this affect my team?

No, with one exception. Your notification choices are yours alone, but the Chat switch covers the whole company.

Why am I getting emails for a location I don't work at?

You're still assigned to it. Clear that location from the notification, or ask an Admin to unassign you.
