I'm not getting push notifications

I'm not getting push notifications

Every notification starts switched on, so a silent app usually means the location is unticked behind the Push button, or your device is blocking WashUp.

September 28, 2026

Every WashUp notification starts on, for both email and push, at every location you're assigned to. So when push goes quiet, something switched it off: the location behind that notification's Push button, or WashUp's permission in your own device settings.

If your device is blocking WashUp

Notifications only arrive if the device you're carrying is allowed to show them. This is set outside WashUp, and it's the reason nothing at all comes through while email keeps working.

Open your device settings, find WashUp in the notifications list, and allow notifications for it.

If the location is switched off

Push is set per notification and per location, not once for everything. A critical inspection item at one site can be on while the same notification at another site is off.

To check:

  1. Select your name in the lower-left corner, then Settings.
  2. Select Notifications.
  3. Find the row you're missing and select its Push button. The button shows how many locations it's on for.
  4. In Select Locations, tick the locations you want, then select Save Changes.
  5. Select Save Preferences at the bottom of the page.

Nothing takes effect until you select Save Preferences.

If you're not assigned to the location

You only receive notifications for the locations you're assigned to. Being removed from a site clears its notifications, and being added switches them all back on.

Check Settings > Assigned Locations. If the site you're waiting on isn't listed, ask an Admin to assign you.

If that notification has no push at all

Two rows behave differently from the rest. Daily Recap under Tasks is email only, so it has no Push button. Chat Push Notifications is a single company-wide switch at the bottom of the page that saves the moment you flick it, separate from Save Preferences.
