The WashUp app is the same WashUp you use in a browser, built for your phone—inspections in the tunnel, tasks at the vacuum island, a damage claim logged at the exit. It needs a connection to work.
What you'll need
- A WashUp account. There's no signup in the app—an Admin or Super Admin invites you first.
- Your email and password, or your location's shared sign-in and your 4-digit PIN.
Install the app
To install the WashUp app:
- Open the Apple App Store on iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android.
- Search for WashUp.
- Select Get or Install.
- Open the app and sign in with the same email and password you use in a browser.
Turn on push notifications
Say yes when your phone asks for notifications the first time you open the app. WashUp uses them for work assigned to you, flagged equipment, past due services, and published schedules.
If you said no, turn notifications on for WashUp in your phone's own settings. Choose which ones you get, per location, in Manage email and push notifications.
Good to know- WashUp needs a connection. There's no offline mode, so a bay with no signal means the page won't load.
- One exception: photos from a guided photo walk are held on the device if the signal drops, and upload when you reopen the walk.
- Equipment photos have to be JPG or PNG. An iPhone HEIC photo is converted for you.
Common questions
Can my team use WashUp without downloading anything?
Yes. WashUp runs in any browser. The app adds push notifications and a home-screen icon.
Will I get notifications straight away?
Only once you allow them. Open your device settings, find WashUp, and turn notifications on.
Does it work without a signal?
No. WashUp needs a connection. The one exception is a guided photo walk, which holds your photos until the signal comes back.
