A list of equipment names is fine until two of them are called Top Brush. A photo on each item fixes that. The guided walk queues up everything missing one and takes you through it.
What you'll need
- Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections or Services.
- Only Admins and Super Admins can run the walk.
- A camera, and equipment in the bay to photograph.
Run the walk
To photograph a bay:
- Select My Wash in the side menu, then the bay you're walking.
- Select Options, then Walk Site & Add Photos.
- Read the intro and select Start.
- For each item, take one clear photo of the whole unit.
- Select Use photo & next to keep it, or Retake to try again.
- Select Skip this item for anything you can't reach right now.
The walk only queues items with no photo yet. Tick Include items that already have a photo on the intro if you're replacing old shots too.
Uploads run in the background while you keep moving, so you're never waiting on a progress bar between items.
What you get at the end
A summary screen: Photos added, Skipped, and a confirmation once everything has synced. Skipped items stay on the bay's list, so you can add their photos any time.
Taking a photo worth keeping
- Stand back so the full machine is in frame, not one corner of it.
- Open the bay doors or switch the lights on. Good light beats flash, especially against stainless.
- One representative photo per item is enough. You can add more later from the item's page.
- Wipe the lens first. Backroom mist and tunnel spray smear a camera fast.
Good to know- Photos you take are held safely until they upload, so losing signal partway round the site doesn't lose your work.
- Skipping costs nothing. The item stays in the queue for next time rather than being marked done.
- The walk covers one bay at a time, so run it again for each bay or area.
Common questions
Who can do this?
Only Admins and Super Admins. The walk writes photos onto equipment records.
Can I change a photo later?
Yes. Open the item and replace it, or run the walk again with Include items that already have a photo ticked.
Does this affect my other locations?
No. The walk covers one bay at a time at the location you're in.
