Upload manuals and warranty files

Upload manuals and warranty files

Keep the manual and the warranty on the equipment itself. Attach files from the item's Files & Docs tab, or while you're adding the equipment.

September 28, 2026

The manual for the reclaim tank is in a locked office. Attach it to the item instead, and whoever's at the machine can open it.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Inspections or Services.
  • Anyone who can open the item can add or remove its files.

Attach a file to an item

To add a manual or a warranty:

  1. Select My Wash in the side menu, then the bay.
  2. Select the item, then the Files & Docs tab.
  3. Find the section it belongs in: Manuals, Warranty, or Other Files.
  4. Select Add File in that section, or drop the file on Drop files here or browse.

The file uploads as soon as you pick it—there's no separate save. Selecting its name downloads it.

Attach files while you add the equipment

Files & Docs is also on the Add Equipment form, under Show Additional Options. Drop files there and pick a File & Doc Type for each before you select Save Equipment. They exist only once the equipment saves.

Remove a file

To remove a file:

  1. Open the Files & Docs tab.
  2. Select the trash icon on the file's row.
  3. Select Remove file.
Good to know
  • Documents can be up to 25 MB each. A photographed warranty card counts as an image and is capped at 10 MB, even though the Add Equipment form's hint says 25 MB.
  • Accepted types are PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, CSV, TXT, MD, JPG, PNG, GIF, and WEBP.
  • Adding or removing a file is written to the item's History, so you can see who attached what and when.

Common questions

Who can do this?

Anyone who can open the item. Attaching and removing files isn't limited to Admins.

Can I undo removing a file?

No. Removing detaches the file for good, so keep your own copy of anything important.

Does archiving the equipment delete its files?

No. Archiving keeps the item's history, including everything on Files & Docs.
