Everything on an equipment page

Everything on an equipment page

Every item in My Wash has its own page with four tabs—Overview, History, Connections, and Files & Docs—plus an Actions menu.

September 28, 2026

Select any item in a bay and you land on Equipment Details: the item's name, four tabs, and an Actions menu.

The Actions menu

Edit Equipment, Print, and Export PDF are there for everyone at the location. Archive Equipment—or Unarchive Equipment on an item that's already archived—shows only for Admins and Super Admins.

Overview

The Equipment Details table lists Wash Bay / Area, Equipment Type, Manufacturer, Model, Serial Number, Install Date, and Notes. A field you haven't filled in shows a dash instead of vanishing, so you can see what's still open. Hide empty fields collapses those rows.

Alongside it sit the item's photo, Quick Actions for Report an Issue and Add Notes & Attachments, and a Connections card counting the inspections and services attached. Recent Activity shows the latest entries with View history through to the full list.

History

Everything logged against the item, newest first, grouped by date under Activity Log. Search history looks through it, and Filters opens Filters & Sort with Activity Type (All Activity, Inspections, Services, Notes), Sort By, User, Date Range, and, for inspections and services, Status.

Add Note opens a composer for a note that belongs to the item itself rather than to one service or inspection, with Add Attachments for photos.

Connections

Two cards, each with a count: Inspections Attached and Services Attached.

An inspection row gives the inspection's name, when it last ran, and how this item stands in it right now—Critical for a critical issue, Needs Attention for a flagged one, Passed for clean. A service row gives the frequency, when it last ran, when it's next due, and its status. Both rows have View through to the record.

A third card, Connected Equipment, appears only when the item is linked to other equipment.

Files & Docs

Three fixed sections—Manuals, Warranty, and Other Files—each with its own Add File button and dropzone. Selecting a filename downloads it.

If the item is archived

An Archived badge sits above the tabs with the date, who archived it, and the reason if one was given. The rest of the page still works: archiving keeps the record, the files, and the history.

Good to know
  • The Connections tab is read-only. You attach an inspection from that inspection's Edit List, and a service from Services.
  • Equipment Type is free text with suggestions rather than a fixed list, so keep your wording consistent from bay to bay.
  • Anyone at the location can open an item, print it, and export it as a PDF. Archiving and unarchiving are for Admins and Super Admins.
