Set a task to repeat through the day

Some jobs aren't a once-a-day item. The restrooms get checked every hour, the vacuum area gets swept every two. Repeat throughout the day turns one task into a run of slots across the hours you set.

What you'll need

• Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Tasks.
• Super Admins and Admins edit task lists. Team Members complete the slots but can't set this up.

Set the repeat

To set a task to repeat through the day:

1. Select Tasks in the side menu, then Task Library.
2. Open the list, then select Edit List.
3. On the task, select Show next to Advanced Options.
4. Under Recurring Schedule, tick Repeat throughout the day.
5. Enter a Start time and an End time.
6. Enter an Interval (hours) between 1 and 24.
7. Select Save Changes.

WashUp cuts the window into back-to-back slots. A restroom check from 8:00 to 18:00 with an interval of 2 gives 5 slots, each its own task with its own window. The last slot is trimmed so it ends at your end time rather than running past it. On the day's list each slot shows a Repeats throughout day chip.

It replaces a set time frame

Ticking Repeat throughout the day clears Set specific time frame and greys it out, and ticking the time frame does the same in reverse. A task is a single daily window or a run of slots, never both. If a saved task somehow carries both, the repeat wins and the time frame is dropped.
