Contact UsFrequency sets which days a task lands on. The timing options under Advanced Options set when in the day it can be completed.
Two different settings decide when a task appears and when it can be checked off. Frequency picks the days. The timing options under Advanced Options pick the hours.
Frequency is required on every task in a routine task list, and it sits under the task's name as three tabs. A situational list has no Frequency section, because its tasks only appear when someone imports them.
| Tab | What it repeats on | Range |
|---|---|---|
| TabDaily | What it repeats onThe weekdays you tick, every week | RangeSun through Sat |
| TabWeekly | What it repeats onThe days you tick, every set number of weeks | Range1 to 52 weeks |
| TabMonthly | What it repeats onA date, or a weekday such as the last Friday | Range1 to 12 months; day 1 to 31 |
Tasks offer Daily, Weekly, and Monthly. Services use a different picker, with Yearly and no Daily, so don't expect the two to match.
Both of these live under Advanced Options on the task row—select Show to open it.
| Option | What it does | What you set |
|---|---|---|
| OptionSet specific time frame | What it doesOne window a day. The task can only be completed inside it | What you setA start time and an end time |
| OptionRepeat throughout the day | What it doesSplits the window into back-to-back slots, each its own task | What you setStart time, End time, Interval (hours), 1 to 24 |
With no timing set, a task can be completed any time on its due date.
Ticking Repeat throughout the day clears Set specific time frame and greys it out, and ticking Set specific time frame does the same in reverse. A task is either one window a day or a run of slots—never both. The same rule applies to a CSV import, which stops and names the row that tries to set both.
