Photo, video, and file limits

Photo, video, and file limits

Photos up to 10 MB, videos up to 100 MB, documents up to 25 MB, and 18 files in total on any one record.

September 28, 2026

These are the limits WashUp checks when you attach something to a piece of equipment, an attention item, a service, or an incident.

File typeHow manyMax size eachWhat's accepted
Photos1010 MBJPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP
Videos3100 MBMP4, MOV, WEBM
Documents525 MBPDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, CSV, TXT, MD

No single record takes more than 18 files in total, however you split them.

Where the rules are tighter

A few screens narrow that list further.

Where you're uploadingWhat's different
An equipment photoJPG and PNG only. A GIF or WEBP is turned away with the message that it must be JPG or PNG
Report an IssueThe picker takes JPG, PNG, PDF, and MP4
Equipment CSV import5 MB and 1000 rows
Task list CSV import5 MB and 500 rows
Good to know
  • The Report an Issue dropzone says up to 50MB, but a photo is still capped at 10 MB. A 20 MB shot of a cracked pay station uploads and is then rejected, so resize it first.
  • A GIF or WEBP already sitting on a piece of equipment keeps working. The narrower JPG and PNG rule applies to new uploads only.
  • Size errors name the file: the top brush photo you added comes back as that filename exceeding the maximum size, not as a generic failure.
