I can't create an inspection

I can't create an inspection

No New Inspection button? It comes down to your role, whether Inspections is on for the location, or which screen you're on.

September 28, 2026

If + New Inspection isn't there, it's one of four things: your role, the screen you're on, whether Inspections is switched on for this location, or whether the location has any wash bays yet.

If you're a Team Member

Team Members don't get + New Inspection, the settings gear, or Edit List. You can run any inspection and report issues, but building and editing lists is for Admins and Super Admins.

Ask an Admin at your company to build the list, or to change your role.

If you're on All Attention Items

This is the most common reason. Selecting Inspections in the side menu lands you on All Attention Items, and there's no bay there to attach an inspection to, so the button doesn't appear.

Select a bay under All Inspections in the left menu. On a narrow screen that menu collapses into a dropdown at the top of the page.

If the whole Inspections page is an ad

If selecting Inspections lands you on a page headed "Catch issues before your customer does" with a Contact Sales to Add Inspections button, the module isn't switched on for the location you're in.

Inspections is switched on per location, not per company, so you may have it at one site and not another. Check the location picker first. If you need it turned on, select Contact Sales to Add Inspections on that page.

If the left menu says "No bays yet"

Inspections attach to a wash bay, and the bays come from My Wash. With none set up there's nothing to build against.

Set up your bays and equipment in My Wash first, then come back.
