Changing the week start day changes it for every user in your company, at every location. There's no personal version of this setting, even though the control sits in a menu that looks like one.
What you'll need
- Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Employee Scheduler.
- Admins and Super Admins can change it. The item isn't shown to Team Members.
Change the week start day
To change it:
- Select Schedule in the side menu, then Create Schedule.
- Select Actions, then Week Start Day.
- Choose Sunday or Monday. A tick marks the one you're on now.
- Read the Company-Wide Change warning on Calendar Week Start Day.
- Select Save Change.
The page reloads on the new week start. Every schedule in the company now begins on that day.
Good to know- The confirmation puts it in writing: the setting affects all schedules across the entire company, not just the current location.
- Nothing moves. Shifts keep their dates and times—only the day each week grid starts on changes.
- Copying a week and clearing a week both read their week boundaries off this setting, so changing it mid-planning changes what next week covers.
Common questions
Does this affect my other locations?
Yes. This is the one scheduler setting that covers your whole company, every location and every user.
Will my team get notified?
No. The next time anyone opens the schedule, it starts on the new day.
Can I change it back?
Yes. Set it again the same way. Nothing moves either time, since only the grid's starting day changes.
