Services

Edit a service

Open the service, select Actions then Edit Service, change the title, instructions, reminder, or requirements, and select Save Changes.

September 28, 2026

Editing changes the service itself—the title, the instructions, the reminder, and what your team has to hand in. Change the dryer's filter-swap instructions once and every occurrence that isn't finished picks them up.

What you'll need

  • Available on the Bundle plan, or on a Custom plan that includes Services.
  • Admins and Super Admins can edit a service. Team Members can change Progress and Priority and add notes, but their edits to the service itself won't save.

Edit the service

Admins and Super Admins only.

To edit a service:

  1. Open the service from your services list.
  2. Select Actions, then Edit Service.
  3. Change the title, the instructions, or the equipment photo.
  4. Under Service Details, change Notify days before due date, the Frequency, or the Completion Requirements checkboxes.
  5. Add attachments, or remove one with the red button on its corner.
  6. Select Save Changes.

Cancel drops everything you changed and reloads the service as it was.

Change progress, priority, and who owns it

On the Details tab, Progress and Priority are dropdowns that save the moment you pick a value—no edit mode needed, and anyone at the location can use them. Assigned To works the same way but is limited to Admins and Super Admins.

Good to know
  • A completed service can't be edited. Edit Service and Reschedule drop off the Actions menu once it's marked complete.
  • Changing the title changes it everywhere, including on occurrences your team already finished, because they all read from the one schedule.
  • Only allow Super Admins and Admins to view and complete this service only blocks completion. Team Members can still open the service and read it.

Common questions

Can I change it back?

Yes. Nothing about an edit is permanent while the service is still open.

Who can do this?

Only Admins and Super Admins can change the schedule itself. Anyone can set progress, priority, and notes on an occurrence.

Will my team get notified?

No. Edits are silent, so tell whoever is assigned if you change what the job involves.
