Basic Opening Checklist

■ Unlock all facility doors and ensure access is ready for employees and customers.

■ Turn on all lights, both interior and exterior, to ensure visibility and safety.

■ Power on vacuums and check for proper suction and functionality.

■ Turn on air compressors and verify pressure levels are adequate.

■ Take clean towels and spray bottles to all detail stations for immediate use.

■ Ensure all trash cans are emptied, cleaned, and lined at entrances, exits, and workstations.

■ Power up the car wash tunnel and perform functionality tests on all equipment.

■ Verify chemical levels in soap dispensers, refill as needed, and ensure no leaks.

■ Turn on and test payment kiosks for errors or malfunctions.

■ Start the water filtration systems and inspect all components for leaks or damage.

■ Conduct a complete safety walkthrough of the facility to ensure compliance.

■ Inspect employee break rooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.

■ Restock lobby areas with towels, brochures, and cleaning supplies to maintain a welcoming environment.

■ Inspect tunnel brushes and conveyor belts for damage, obstructions, or wear.

■ Set up cones and directional signs at entry and exit lanes for customer guidance.

■ Test intercom systems and emergency stop mechanisms for proper operation.

■ Review the day’s schedule and assign employee stations accordingly.

■ Prepare cash drawers and confirm that kiosks have adequate change available.
